Created in collaboration with St John, the New Zealand Drug Foundation, Whakarongorau, and the NZ Police Adult Sexual Harm Team, this session offers a sneak peek into their comprehensive e-learning program.

In this session, we’ll cover:

  • Understanding intoxication from both drugs and alcohol

  • Recognising vulnerability and preventing harm at your event

  • Key first aid tips tailored for event scenarios

  • Knowing when to escalate and seek medical attention or further support

Our expert speaker, Lilah Barnett, leads the First Aid and Emergency Care Programme at Hato Hone St John. With over 16 years of paramedic experience in emergency ambulance services and major events across Auckland and Queenstown, Lilah brings invaluable insights from the frontlines. She holds a BHSc in Paramedicine, a PGDip in Health Science, and a Graduate Diploma in Tertiary Teaching, along with 10+ years of teaching and mentoring experience.
