NZ Events Association welcomes $70 million government events and tourism investment 

The New Zealand Events Association (NZEA) warmly welcomes today’s announcement of a new $70 million events and tourism investment package which Tourism and Hospitality Minister Louise Upston says will drive economic activity and confidence across New Zealand. 

The package combines new and existing funding to create a critical mass of support for major events and tourism, enabling New Zealand to better compete internationally for big acts and large-scale sporting fixtures. Importantly, the fund is now open to concerts, a sector that has previously been excluded from government event investment.
