We are delighted to announce our date and venue for the 2023 New Zealand Events Association annual conference Eventing the Future. This National industry event is known for leading edge content and speakers, but also contributes to the success of the wider events community.
The events sector touches all New Zealanders, through tourism, sport, arts and regional events. As we navigate our world post pandemic, we continue to adapt to the environment and help support our members to bring New Zealanders best in class events throughout New Zealand.
Although 2022 continued to bring its challenges, it was great to run Eventing the Future in person in the beautiful Hawkes Bay, with 250 people in the room. For 2023 we are excited to bring the community back together safely at the Viaduct Events Centre in Auckland.
Great content drives great events, and in 2023 we will again showcase across our event series, and explore the big issues of the day across topics of interest for our membership and New Zealanders.
We look forward to seeing you at the NZEA Eventing the Future conference in 2023.

The programme
Although we are still working on the programme, this will be a two day event, with plenty of time for networking. We will also have workshop streams to allow delegates to get the most out of the event. We are looking forward to introducing new elements to this event, so check back here often for updates!
We have a clear focus on what this event will deliver, which is in line with our strategy.
The venue
Auckland’s premier waterfront venue - the Viaduct Events Centre has reopened after Team New Zealand’s lease has ended.
This stunning venue is located on Auckland’s vibrant waterfront, and spans three levels. The building has been designed to a five star environmental standard and makes the most of its impressive waterfront location with glass walls, balconies and easy access to the wharf.
Located in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter, host to many restaurants, cafes and public spaces, this venue creates a stunning waterfront walk enjoyed by both locals and visitors. The venue is just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre where a wide-range of accommodation is available.
Not only has the venue been praised for its location and design, but also for the technical facilities and smooth running of functions. The Auckland Conventions team ensure each and every event is a success.
