The New Zealand Events Association (NZEA) is seeking expressions of interest to join our Board to help achieve our vision of providing leadership and representation to inspire a world class events industry in NZ.
The NZEA is a not-for-profit industry body established in 2005. The Association has enjoyed steady growth since its inception and currently has over 1000 members from a variety of industry sectors. NZEA’s volunteer Board is supported by a General Manager and an Association Administrator and meets six times per year.
We are seeking skilled and passionate individuals who are prepared to contribute both strategically and practically, rolling up their sleeves to assist the team when a project needs more hands-on input. First-hand knowledge of the events sector is preferred, however the Board are open to considering those with desired skills and expertise in other fields. Applicants with experience in marketing, communications and finance are of particular interest though we welcome expressions of interest from anyone who believes they can add value to the Board, Association and events industry.
This is an excellent professional development opportunity for those seeking governance experience and a rewarding role for anyone wishing to positively impact on the NZ events sector.
