Commerce Commission guidance on cancelled events

The Commission has released some guidance for businesses and consumers on consumers’ rights and businesses’ obligations for cancelled services and events. The Commission acknowledges that this is a complicated legal area where consumers’ rights, and businesses’ obligations may be impacted by a number of contextual factors (like the terms of the contract, the timing of the cancellation, and

the ability of the parties to perform the services contracted for).
